Day 69/ Spring Shaving and Pattern

It is a strange transitional time for the seasons and weather. (I'll say, snow, rain, fog and sunshine all in one frigid day.) It is sunny and cool out now, but dressing for this can be a mine field. Spring is coming though, time to shave.
Also in this update, one of the ideas in the latest GQ or esquire (damn faulty memory, weekends are getting TOO fun) is to combine several patterns at different scales. I'll be the first to say this can be a horrific mess. But, I'm going to try to keep it subdued.

Day 65 ribbon cutting

I attended a ribbon cutting this AM. It was outside in the warm sun, so I knew I would opt for a cotton sport coat. I am trying to ease into spring, with out jumpin the gun.

Day 62/ and trad about it?

Wanted to feature a trad focused post. Double breasted sport coats, and suits seem to be visible nationally, lately. They are usually more sophisticated items but there are some great ways of toning the stuffiness done. I do it with khakis and desert boots. Keep the shirt solid and simple.

Day 56/ Chunky Shawl Cardigan

I finally got my chunky Shawl cardigan back from Mary's magic yesterday. She repaired a massive tear along the seam of the left arm for me. This article of clothing is extremely versatile; it can be worn as an outer layer or underneath a jacket or sport coat, dressed up or down. Get one in a basic color like navy, grey or black and its hard to go wrong.

Day 46

One of the great aspects about dressing for my job is the relative spectrum of "business casual". I can wear a three piece suit one day a week, and I can wear jeans and no tie one day a week, and everything in between. I love these levi's; I have had them for nearly a year and washed them 7 times, possibly.
